“Am I Missing Something?” is about the digital relationship I have with my father. With approximately 7818 km between Willemstad and Rotterdam, it is quite a challenge to stay in touch with each other. Fortunately, modern technology and its ways of communicating are developing vastly; enabling us to be closer than ever… Or does it only seem that way?
A visual exploration about being there whilst not being there at the same time, questioning the relationship we allow ourselves to have with images and if they can function as a substitute for a human relationship.
