On February 24 , the Willem de Kooning Academy hosted the award ceremony for the annual North Sea Jazz Poster Competition. Jury member Ferry van Leeuwen of MOJO announced the winners. The competition is held annually in the lead-up to the NN North Sea Jazz Festival, with student posters reviewed by a professional jury. This year the jurors were Michelle Kuypers, Junior van der Stel, Hans Pols and Ferry van Leeuwen.
Three main prizes were awarded to students, each receiving festival tickets and cash prizes. The first prize went to Famke van Thullen. Second prize was awarded to Sofia Delgado, followed by Mara van der Meer in third place.
In addition, three selected designs will be printed on T-shirts. These winners are: Jagoda Miszczak, Yona Rietdijk and Caetana Arranhado.
