Programme:
- Arrival on Wednesday evening - Welcome night! Dinner & City Tour.
- Thursday and Friday: workshops in the Stations, meet students and tutors.
- Saturday: Open Day, portfolio review, workshops.
Costs: 130 euro (materials, tutors, lunch, drinks and dinner included). Payment is online with credit card only.
After your registration, we will help you in finding affordable accommodation, arrange a pickup service from the station and a peer-coach student to guide you around in our academy.
First things to do:
- Book a flight from your home country to Amsterdam, Eindhoven or Rotterdam. Amsterdam airport is 25 train minutes away from academy, Eindhoven - 1.15h and Rotterdam - a short bus ride.
- Select your place to stay. Our city offers many affordable sleepover options, including Ani Haakien hostel, a beautiful place next to the Central Station, set up and run by our alumni.
- Do not forget to bring your current portfolio with you!
Workshop days:
Our peer-coaches can make your arrival personal and pick you up at the train station. On Wednesday you and your travel partners will be welcomed at the academy at 7pm. We will start with a Dutch dinner followed by a city tour.
On Thursday your travel partners will have to go their own way, now our focus is only on you! In the morning we'll start with coffee and will give a presentation about our academy, a Stations' tour and you'll receive the briefing for your assignment. Tutors and peer-coaches will be there for you with all the materials ready. You do not have to bring your current portfolio with you just yet. You will work on a new portfolio piece while exploring different techniques in the Stations with the help from our peer-coaches! We will wrap up the day with a short review at 17h. Lunch and dinner is included.
On Friday you will continue to work on your assignment. It will be a busy day for you to get the project just right for the presentation in the afternoon. During the presentation your travel partners are welcome to see the results and learn from the feedback from our tutors. Lunch is included, dinner is optional. On Saturday February 10, we will host our Annual Open Day, the complete program will be published here later. The doors will open for everyone at 10am, please bring your assignment and your portfolio from home with you! One of the tutor will review your portfolio during the Portfolio Session. Get inspired during one of the the workshops given by our alumni and multiple lectures and meetings with students. All the questions related to the admission procedure, housing and finance will be answered. Lunch is included. We will wrap up the day with drinks at 15h and will say goodbye.
