We’re curious about who you are and what motivates you to choose this major. That’s why we’ve put together a few questions. You can fill in the answers directly in the online application form. You do NOT need to upload the answers – just save them. There’s limited space for each answer, so keep your responses clear and brief.
To give you an idea: these are the questions on the application form.
- Why do you choose this major (for instance Illustration, Photography etc.)?
- Where do you see yourself after finishing your studies? Do you already have any ideas about that?
- Can you name examples of artists, designers, or exhibitions that inspire you?
- Why do you choose WdKA? What do you expect from this study program?
- Dual Degree question: In your opinion, what is the value of combining an artistic and academic study at the WdKA and Erasmus University?
The form only has four questions (the ones above). If we invite you to matching interview in the second stage we’ll get to know you even better. What do we want to talk about in that interview? For example, how much time you spend making and designing things. Are you already working in the field? We’d love to know what or who inspires you. Can you name any artists or designers you follow? Have you visited any interesting exhibitions? Do you draw inspiration from social issues? What would be your dream commission? Which creator would you like tot collaborate with? These are the kinds of topics we’ll discuss during the interview. And, of course, we’d like to know what you expect from the study program.
If you’re applying for the Dual Degree programme, we’d like to hear from you about how social engagement plays a part in your ambition to become an artist or designer. Can you give some examples that inspire you?
