Elise Marcus graduated Cum Laude from Willem de Kooning Academy in 2017 (Lifestyle Transformation Design/Sustainability).

Through my work as a sustainable mindset designer, I influence the cultural mindset regarding sustainability. I am constantly triggered by the world around me. I question the present and look for answers by researching history, science and philosophy. With humour and poetry, I translate socially oriented statements into books, films, experiences and workshops. My goal is to make people aware of their own identity and their own role within society, so we can eventually create a world, that is good for every organism and focus on the future.

I believe that I can change your mindset.

I see myself as a creative, and sometimes unusual, connector between different disciplines. In collaborations, I am the person who is always questioning: What if... This question triggers passion and imagination (jumping out of bed in the middle of the night to write something down happens way too often).

My topics of interest are social and from an autonomous perspective. However, I am also interested in using commercial practices to bring my projects into the public space.

My dream is to collaborate with other disciplines while investigating social questions regarding our cultural mindset. I hope we can create a world together, where we can live more aware of our mindsets, identities and our lifestyles as part of a bigger and fluid system: nature, culture and technology.
