Repair or Redesign: Refresh Your Wardrobe for a Sustainable Future
You know that feeling when you’re staring at your wardrobe, thinking you have nothing to wear, and you just crave a fresh, new look? That's often when we rush out to buy something new. But did you know that research shows that we don’t wear about a third of the clothes we own? That means a lot of what we buy isn’t being worn as much as it should.
So, what if instead of buying something new, we made the most of what we already have? The most sustainable thing you can do is wear your clothes for longer. However, this is easier said than done.
On Thursday October 10, we present and distribute a (poster) publication "Repair or Redesign" with the aim of helping you find those hidden gems in your closet and repair or redesign your wardrobe. We want to help you see used/old clothing not as waste, but as material you can redesign and use again. We will give you designer tips on how to repair or redesign your clothes, and the poster publication will guide you step by step to bring new life to forgotten items in your wardrobe.
Next to the launch of the publication we will present the outcomes of the workshop: Reuse and Redesign with Felting.
