With the Akademie van Kunsten Amsterdam Jonas Staal is co-organising the "Propaganda Art in the 21st Century" symposium that will take place March 5, discussing the importance of propaganda research and the possibility of emancipatory propaganda work. The full programme for the symposium will be announced soon.

With contributions by Nav Haq (Senior curator, M HKA Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp), Liesbeth Bik (artist part of Bik Van der Pol and tutor at WdKA & PZI), Denisse Vega de Santiago (researcher, editorial team Volume), Sven Lütticken (art historian, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Yazan Khalili (artist), Marina Otero Verzier (head research and development Het Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam), Charl Landvreugd (artist) and Maria Hlavajova (general and artistic director BAK basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht).
