The first step is to register via both Studielink and WdKA, so you will get access to a personal online environment (please check your spam folder!). It is your own responsibility to finish and upload your admission exam before one of the Admission round deadlines.
Rounds one and two are the main admission rounds. If you want to apply in the third round please note that we might have a limited number of places available for certain programmes. Should you apply in the third round and there are no more spots available, you can choose to be placed on a waiting list.
Deadline Round 1: February 18, 2024 - EU & non-EU applicants
Deadline Round 2: April 28, 2024 - EU applicants
Deadline Round 3: June 9, 2024 - EU applicants
Note: non-EU applicants can only participate in the 1st admission round (February 18).

Register via Studielink & WdKA website
The first step in the application process for all Bachelor courses in the Netherlands is to register via Studielink. Please select ‘Hogeschool Rotterdam’ or ‘Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences’ to submit your enrollment request for Willem de Kooning Academy.
You will receive a student number through Studielink, which you will then need to apply to the WdKA. It can take up to a week before you receive your student number from Studielink, so make sure you register in time for you to apply to WdKA before the application deadline. Please note that you can only apply for one of the Majors we offer at the WdKA.
After applying at the WdKA and receiving confirmation of your registration, the WdKA Admissions team will process your request and send you an invitation by email to start your admission process. In this email you will find all the information necessary for the application as well as a link to your personal intake page where you can upload and fill in additional information required.Register via Studielink Apply to WdKA
A big part of the admission process is the admission exam.
The admission exam consists of four parts. Make sure to complete and upload all parts on your intake page before one of the admission round deadlines. You will receive the results within five weeks after the deadline. Click on the links below for an in-depth explanation regarding each of these parts and information regarding the admission competencies.
Requirements international applicants
Next to the remote admission exam (consisting of four assignments) there are other requirements for international students to apply to WdKA such as uploading the hard copies of your diplomas and the visa process for non-EU applicants.Read more about this here
