Author

author is an online library with an inserted essay. It contains references and documentation from roughly one year of experiments in art and education. Our library's collection of digital matter is classified as debris resulting from moments of choreographed, collective working. The library was introduced through a radio broadcast that thinks through what a learning environment is, a consideration that has grown from a failed part of *author*, to make a physical studio space inside the building of the Willem de Kooning Academy.

Amy Pickles is an artist and loosely formed educator trying to redistribute knowledge and finances through her work. Individual ownership is refused through collective working, while a multitude of media is utilised to both extend, and contain, different actors in their work.

About the author Amy Pickles

Amy Pickles is an artist learning about prosthetic social communication. She is thinking about the mouth as a mediator between inside and outside thoughts, and language for consuming, as well as transmitting, knowledge. Making a pedagogy of regurgitation, here learning resembles eating. She is working through how we can reform identity through dialogue, and what a decolonized pedagogy could be. Who puts the words in our mouths?
