Student Talk | Portfolio Tips & Tricks

Thinking about applying to one of our Bachelor programmes? Do you have questions about our Admission procedure?  Not quite sure about your portfolio yet?

Join us for a Student Talk at our Academy on Saturday April 1st from 10.00 - 14.00 hrs where our Student Ambassadors give you Portfolio Tips & Tricks! Have a look at several portfolios of various Bachelor programmes, get the inspiration you are looking for and get advice.

Where: Wijnhaven 61 from 10.00 - 14.00 hrs. Register here.

Disclaimer: During this event our student ambassadors will be present to answer all your questions you might have. We do not offer one-on-one advice. Please note there is no need to bring your own portfolio.

Next Online Student Talk will be hosted on Wednesday April 19, 2023 from 19.30-20.30 hrs.

Academy Tours

You are most welcome to visit the Academy and take a one-hour tour to explore our building and Workplaces (Stations) with our Student Ambassadors. You can sign up through this link for the tour of your choice.

Where: Willem de Kooning Academy, Blaak 10 (entrance), Rotterdam
When: Thursday March 23 - 16.00 till 17.00 & Thursday April 13 - 16.00 till 17.00 hrs

Please note: We ask you to also subscribe the amount of persons you are coming with (parent, friend of classmate). We have limited spots available but we do understand if you want to bring somebody.

• Starting time 16.00 hrs (please be on time, we leave the meetup location at 16.00 sharp)


• Meetup location Blaak 10 Rotterdam, in the hall of the Main entrance. You can let the reception know you are present. It is located on your left hand when entering the building.


• You don't need to prepare anything for the tour, just bring yourself :) You are welcome to bring someone to acompany you.

Leisure & Events Management | Open Avond

Op donderdag 20 april 2023 en donderdag 1 juni 2023 hosten wij van 16.00 tot 20.00 uur een fysieke Open Avond van  Leisure & Events Management op de Willem de Kooning Academie. Wil jij weten meer weten hoe wij de toekomst van Leisure gaan veranderen? En wil jij onze studenten en docenten ontmoeten? Kom dan naar onze Open Avond.

Meld je aan voor de Open Avond op 20 april 2023 of meld je aan voor de Open Avond  op 1 juni 2023.

Docent Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving (voltijd en deeltijd) | Open Avond

Op donderdag 20 april 2023 host de opleiding Docent Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving (voltijd en deeltijd) van 16.00 tot 20.00 uur een fysieke Open Avond op de Willem de Kooning Academie.

Ontmoet onze studenten en docenten en ontdek of jij de nieuwe kunstdocent wordt die kunst, onderwijs, design en maatschappelijke vraagstukken met elkaar verbindt. Meld je hier aan.

Associate Degree Arts & Crafts | Open Dag 

Op zaterdag 1 april 2023 host de Associate Degree Arts & Crafts van 10.00 - 14.00 uur een Open Dag op de locatie Museumpark. Aanmelden kan hier.

Associate Degree Arts & Crafts | Open Avond 

Op donderdag 20 april 2023 host de Associate Degree Arts & Crafts van 16.00 tot 20.00 uur een Open Avond op de Willem de Kooning Academie. Kom naar onze open avond om de sfeer op locatie te proeven. Bekijk de werkplaatsen, het werk van studenten en laat je inspireren door de voorlichtingspresentaties.

17.00      Algemene presentatie met aansluitend Q&A met studenten.
18.00      Welke vakken krijg je? Presentatie kernproject.
19.00      Alles over portfolio en de toelatingsprocedure.

Uiteraard zijn er docenten en studenten aanwezig aam wie je van alles kan vragen. Mocht je al bijna zeker weten dat je bij ons wilt studeren? Neem dan je portfolio mee voor advies voor de toelatingen!
