De Kracht van Rotterdam 2019: Participants & Winners

Willem de Kooning Academy
Fri 12 Apr

De Kracht van Rotterdam (Rotterdam's Strength) annual photography inside and outside exhibition is a meeting platform for the city, its residents and the photographers. Our city is more than a modern metropolis that was rebuilt after the bombing in 1940 and so much more than the skyline or the Erasmus Bridge, or the supporters of Feyenoord. There is so much more beauty in this city and it should be shown. De Kracht van Rotterdam will present the photographs not only in the media or museums, but also outside, in the city.

Every year 12 young photographers are shortlisted for participation in this project, each photographer receives an assignment: portrtait one of the districts of the city.

The photographers selected for this year's contest were: Zahra Reijs, Sanne Romeijn, Guus Bakker, Linda Muysson Images, Bart Jansen, Iris Bergman and our alumni Eliza Bordeaux (Photography, 2018), Kimberly Dias (Photography, 2018), Tarona Leonora (Photography, 2017), Perrine Philomeen (Fashion Design, 2018), Luc Schol (Photography, 2015), Rik Versteeg (Photography, 2016).
