Check out our programme and get ready for some exciting days:
- Arrival on Wednesday afternoon, dinner and a city tour in the evening.
- Thursday and Friday: workshops in the Stations, meet our students and tutors, feedback on your work
- Saturday: Open Day. Walk around, talk with students and teaching staff. Portfolio review.
Costs: 130 euro (materials, tutor, lunch, drinks and dinner included). Payment is online with credit card only. Minimum participants is 12.
First things to do, after receiving our confirmation email:
- Book a flight from your home country to Amsterdam, Eindhoven or Rotterdam. Amsterdam airport is 25 minutes away by train from our academy, Eindhoven - 1.15h and Rotterdam airport - 15 minutes.
- Select your place to stay. Our city offers many affordable options, including Ani Haakien hostel, a beautiful place next to the Central Station, set up and run by our alumni.
- Do not forget to bring your current portfolio with you!
Workshop programme
Wednesday you and your travel partners will be welcomed at the academy at 18h. Our peer-coaches can make your arrival personal and pick you up at the train station. We will start with a short introduction of WdKA and the Durch Culture, then we will have dinner together, followed by a city tour.
Thursday your travel partners (family members, friends) will have to make other plans, because the focus will on you! In the morning we'll start the briefing of your assignment by the tutor. of this year. We will take care of the necessary materials. You will not have to bring your portfolio with you just yet. You will work on a new portfolio piece while exploring different techniques in the Stations with the assistance of our peer-coaches Lunch and dinner are included.
Friday you will continue to work on your assignment. It will be a busy day for you to get the project just right for the presentation/feedback in the end of the morning. For this presentation, your travel partners will be welcome to see the results of two days hard work. After lunch, we run off to an excursion.
Saturday Open Day. The opportunity to learn more of our study programmes, attend presentations, speak to students and staff and get feedback on your portfolio. (we will arrange the schedule)
