Our admission procedure assesses if this specific type of education and a professional career after graduation suits you.
When you want to apply for a bachelor study programme at the Willem de Kooning Academy, please follow these steps:
Please register via WdKA admission tool.
Send in the required documents:
- copy of personal data in passport
- copy of birth certificate
- certified copy of diploma (equivalent to Dutch HAVO, VWO or MBO Level 4 diploma)
- certified copy of grade list
- IELTS or TOEFL test results
- passport photo
Please note: incomplete application forms will not be taken into process.
- Register at studielink.nl (the official Dutch student registration site) choose Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Rotterdam) and the study of your choice.
After receiving your complete application and registration we will send you two assignments which you will have to make and send to us by post within a certain amount of time together with your portfolio. You will receive detailed guidelines on how to do this. Also you will be asked to fill in an online questionnaire.
Note: When you are already living in the Netherlands you will be invited to do the entrance exam at the academy.
Within a few weeks after receiving your assignments you will be informed in writing about the results and if you are admitted to the academy.

If you are a student from a non-EU/EEA country or Switzerland, you are obliged to apply for a visa. To make sure you meet all requirements and deadlines, please follow the steps in this visa applications procedure.
If you are a NON-EU student and wish to apply for a Holland scholarship, you are asked to send in – among other criteria – a letter of motivation. Deadline is April 1 2016.
